Fuge Light - Help me pick the best bulb

Hahahahha that's the ticket. Let me know your results. I'm switching as soon as u say yours is growing like weeds.

Yes, those LED Flood lights are AWESOME for refugiums but would greatly benefit from some fan cooling being tucked away in our aquarium stands. I run a DIY LED Fuge light with 10 3w emitters consisting of 4 RB's, 4 CW's and 2 Red (very patriotic) that I buit using PC heatsinks with attached fans. First pic is of when first building it and last two pics from today. I still need/want to add some optics to increase light penetration and reduce light spill.

Geez, bro! That's a sweet setup! I wish I knew how to setup LEDs.

I'm not too worried about the temp bc my ambient temperature under the tank seems to stay at 62 degrees. ...but the tank is at 78-80, so I haven't been too worried. LOL It's just this cold Ohio basement.

I'll try and keep this updated (or my build thread...which is pretty neglected...)

Does cheating need a light on 24 hours a day to grow? Or can I turn it off at night and only provide light during the day. My sump is in my basement.

Theories say to have your lighting on your fuge when your tank light is off. It's a way to keep your ph stable in the night time hours.
