Hi Fuge Lighting was the easiest to do and probably the cheapest too. i just over think everything, and took hours in the bulb isle at home depot just to get a bulb. and they all Work any ways well at least that what it seems like. Here is a pic of what i'm using so you can get an idea on how simple and cheap it could be, 2 weeks ago i pplaced a piece of cheato the size of my thumb and now is the size of my hand. the first week was slow but now its growing like crazy. I do like it since its for my mandarin's copepods.

i put a $3 timer and forget about it it works great. but if anyone has a better bulb i would love to here about it.

I use a old diy Cree led fixture from my last nano and some lednet led bars.

What aspect of the light is the most valuable? Is it the K value, Lumens, wattage, PAR? I have a 5000k, 550 lumen, 20 PAR, 8 watt LED from Lowes. I chose this one because it said it was suitable for wet locations and was pretty cheap. Also how long do you run your light for? I am currently running mine for 12 hours throughout the night.

I always look for bulbs that are 6500K daylight and they have always worked well.
