Fuge or no fuge

Fuge all the way my 46gl has a 30 gallon fuge, my 29 bio cube has a Esshops rs-75 converted into a fuge in the stand, my 80 gl has a 40 gallon fuge all running Chaeto on a 24 hour light cycle. I could not imagine running any of them without it. I don't run any reactors and always have 0 phos/trates in the system. My sand is oolitic sand topped with miracle mud 5 inches deep.

+1 there is no way then having a fuge. its best for phosphat and a little nitrate removal as well..

Cheato does best if it tumbles but as long as you manually do it from time to time your good. You don't want that much flow in your fuge. Just enough to keep it from going stagnant.

If turning the chaeto manually, how often does this need to be done?
