Im having a new tank built 96x30x30, its going along a wall so i have access to front and both sides, i like the idea of a full width weir at one end of the tank with the drains drilled through the bottom, and then having the returns drop in from the opposite side, must be quite a common setup for peninsula tanks so i wondered what the pros and cons are if any over other setups and what there like to live with
im going smooth weir as it should keep the 'head of water' below 10mm for the flow i will be pushing

thanks

im going smooth weir
Some fish will go over the falls.
full width weir at one end of the tank with the drains drilled through the bottom,

Bottom drains will empty your tank some, if it starts leaking. Keep the drain pipes as high as you can.

I have an external coast to coast. Easy access to everything in it
