So I have an aqueon 55 and a syncra 4.0 as a return pump, I do believe it would go slightly over the 10x rule with about 4.5 feet of head... But I can turn the pump down a bit so no harm done. I want to drill for a return but I have no idea how they work the hole size vs. fitting size I learned the hard way that for some dumb reason the bits are measured by OD and the heads are measured by ID.... why in the heck would they do that... Theirs some time and money down the drain.... I would really appreciate some suggestions on that. As for my return I have been trying to figure a HOB box (can it take that much flow, will it be noisy) or should I drill (then it could leak, gotta buy another bit after buying the fitting so I know it will fit, and need to seal it when a hob would be much more simple) a big please and thank you for any relevant response as I have had a tank sitting aside for a month yet to decide how to set it up...

I would definitely drill. It will be worth it in the long run. You'll need a bulkhead which will match the size of your pipe. I used Glass Holes for my overflow and return. The kit comes with everything you need!

So... Where can I get this?
