Currently have red sea max 250. 65 gallon. The T5s were making my water way too hot. So, I took them out. Stuck nicrew light in temporarily.
Looking to remove the hood and build a new lid since I have jumpers.. So I can mount a different light. Tank is 36" long, 17 wide. Thinking of either the Mars or viraspectra full spectrum.
Anyone use them and if so what's your opinion on them.

Those are both solid lights. I'm not sure what brands I've used but I've always been happy with black boxes.
If you don't mind spending a little bit more the Reefbreeders v2+ light is amazing

I have a 65 with a canopy and after aLot of research I decided to go with 2 AI prime 16’s. Yes they are a little more pricey than the viraspectra but you have 100% full control over color temp and timing and can even setup fully auto schedules.
I’ve been extremely happy with them
