I’ve been dealing with a clownfish with ich for weeks now and it’s looking like she’s nearing the end of the road. I’ve tried everything and have been working with the manager of my lfs, all to no avail. It’s really unfortunate since I had to give away her male partner and sell all my corals to do the unsuccessful treatment.

What’s the best way to get the ich out of my tank? Should I swap new sand and do a 100% water change? Will it have to fully cycle after that? There’s a live rock arch that’s been in there for about 5 months now. I’ll do anything let me know what the best course of action is here.

the only sure way is going fish-less I’m afraid …
that said you still might want to consider multiple replies/options here
I only had the pair of clowns in there and a cleanup crew to start. It will be empty if my female clown dies. How long with no fish? I’ve heard it can get in the sandbed and live rock is that true?

I want to say it’s 70ish days…some HELP please, can someone clean that up?
and yeah the tomonts or whatever the lil larval boogers are called hide out in dark places, caves, sand whatever…the whole ich lifecycle is spelled out somewhere,,,it’s pretty ubiquitous, not hard to find
