I just thought I would share my submersible led Fuge light. I came up with this idea after watching videos of diy led lights for fishing at night. So I did the same idea in my Fuge. I would like to start off by saying I’m not the best DIY person and it never turns out looking pretty. Functional about half the time. None the less here is what I did.

Material list

Topled Light® LED Plant Grow Strip Light with Power Adapter. $22 (red and blue leds)

aqueon suction tube (Had off an old water change hose... just using the clear plastic tube)

PVC fittings and 1” pipe (sorry don’t know what they are all called. Worst case if someone really wanted to know I could find out.)

The blue piece off the drain pipe to fit a little fan on...

Basically from the pic above. There is a little fan on the right hand side of the pipe. It flows air down and into the tube and across the leds at the bottom. I drilled air holes to allow the air to flow across the leds and then up the pipe on the left. Also the pipe on the left acts as a passage for the led power supply. Pretty simple idea I just capped off each end of the clear plastic tube and ran a 1” pipe from end to end inside. Then wrapped the 1” pipe with my leds. Honestly this is a really bad diy build thread as I didn’t take any pics of the build. Sorry.

Looks like a fun little project and a good idea, lots of ways to go with something like this. Thanks for sharing!! Something maybe a little less bulky and semi-permanent might look like this... apologize for the quick sketch. You'd have to drill a hole in the fuge but it's almost like turning a regular fuge into a reactor.

Yea drilling a hole into my Fuge isn’t an option. I know of several different / better ways of doing this same idea. I just didn’t have the time to wait on resources nor the money to spend on it. This was just a quick diy that cost me less than 10$ besides the leds

I figured drilling probably wasn't an option for you I was more so just putting it out there as a different option for others. Either way it looks like a fun project and one that works as well.

Yea forgetting that it would float was something I didn’t account for haha
