Fumigation

So my gfs parents had their house fumigated and I took all their fish (Fw) and put them in my quarantine tank. I forgot to tell them to seal the tank and it was totally open. Are fish good to go back in right away or is there something that needs to be done. I was figuring a 100% water change would be fine but wondering if all the rock and gravel would be contaminated

OH RATS!! Since it is a freshwater tank... any chance those rocks were lava rocks (no pores)? Don't see those too often these days but fingers crossed...

Gravel you can rinse... Many rocks are porous... That water was poisoned... that's what fumigation does/is...

I'd dump it all, making sure even water in the pump (especially if they let pumps run) gets flushed out too.

Glad you thought of it before you added the fish in... MAYBE they'd be okay, but maybe they'd be dead by morning They are lucky to have you!!

So turns out they did cover it and turned pumps off. It was vikane gas and fumigation people say it cant diffuse in water? I never got to see the quality of how they covered it but I think ill just do water change and think thatll be good
