I got to visit @WWC and I’m jealous now it’s not my lfs! I saw Casper the white tang he’s beautiful and got a mushroom and galaxea coral. And here’s a very cute little yellow boxfish.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing! I would love to go one day, sadly theres quite a flight from Glasgow :upside-down-face:

I am flattered though having a fish named after me, thanks to @WWC for this fine gesture! :p

The one thing I am disappointed with is the poor packaging especially since I mentioned I was flying home. There’s no air in the bags and it’s poorly tied so water is leaking from both. I’m going to have to repackage it.

Bought a few things from them. My observations were that their frags were about as tiny as possible and their prices were way over average. Much better options out there.
And that would be why I haven’t gotten any online from them. It’s more expensive and shipping is a factor too. Much cheaper at trade shows and in-person with them. It’s more for the experience too.

Thank you for visiting and so happy you had a good time.
I’m at the other store and the coral I saw online looks the same in the store. The tanks are alive and well.

I went on my way back from vacation over the summer. The store is very impressive and their show tanks are absolutely stunning. Their coral selection is impressive but I didn’t find their prices to be high. All I bought was a new tank (full disclosure it was a 1 g tank for a beta that my daughter wanted).

ETA- I meant to say I DID find their coral prices to be high. It’s amazing the difference a few letters can make. I did get a chance to talk to their fish guy and he was explaining to me how they mark the tanks if the fish is eating prepared foods.

Depends on what you’re buying. I’ve purchased scolys from them and I’m impressed with the packaging and safe arrival, no skimping on water, bagged and re-bagged a few times. Colors are amazing under Kessil.

Thanks, I'll pass. I've found much better size and color corals for significantly less then what they offer but I did try them both in Florida and west coast shops because they are well advertised.

In LFS or online? I don’t have LFS around here, it’s all ordering from online. I’ll admit a few were very high priced but I liked the colors.

Both. 2 LFS within 2 miles. My online coral vendor is an hour away so sometimes I drive down other times just order online from them. Found good prices also going to small merchant corals shows here and there.

That’s easy when you need supplies. Who’s your online coral vendor?

I learned the TSA agent had no idea what it was and then had to ask lol. And their supervisor was like yes that’s fine…why would you hold up the line for this? Let’s just say it was an easier/quicker experience to get through TSA on the way down. I guess I put in the wrong date of birth and my ID wouldn’t scan either. But I’m on my way home and am already missing sunny/warm Florida.

I'm from Kentucky and I've visited both WWC locations in Orlando and Winter Park along with @TopShelfAquatics. Nothing against WWC but I didn't feel welcomed at the super store in Orlando. Very rushed and not genuine interactions. The winter park store however was much better. Very personable and conversational.
Top Shelf is by far an away the best place I have visited and purchased corals from. Next time your in Orlando I highly recommend visiting TSA. Their retail store is loaded with corals and fish. Their farm is mind blowing if you get a chance to see it. Not only is their livestock very good but they are also great people. I chatted with their staff for hours, got to meet 2 of their owners (Kevin and Steve) and they even slapped some sick discounts on my purchases.

Have been to both places in trips through the city and LOVE the displays in both stores.

I found the CS in both WWC and TSA comparable, could have been because of time of day. Blown away by the monster Vlamingis at WWC. Also got a quick tour d'back room

Also found both places had bargains if you knew what to look for, but nothing compared to the Atlanta Reef Club frag swap first of this month!!!!

Ayden, interested in your boarding process - often I am in a new town, see csometing I like but dont get it due to concerns of the hassles of inconsistent application of the security rules. Cannot think of anything more frustrating than having to leave a piece with security - even just the prospect.

Now, heading tomorrow to Melbourne and Cairnes on business - don't think I will get through Aussie security leaving, but will ask the locals about their experiences

and for the record, placed my first order with Reefbum, as SPS are now doing well in my tanks (knock) and found him to be on top of CS and the majority of the frags were nice a chunky...

Ayden,
Watch out where you place that galaxea in your tank.
They put out some big sweepers
