So media bags are big and more so ugly. My sump is a hang on back refugium and I like to keep it pretty. I have a 15 Gallon reef and my Phosphates are getting too high. I have Phoslock which worked great for me in the past with my other tanks. Issue is I only need 1 Teaspoon. After looking around for loadable bio balls and other things I asked my wife if she had any ideas. Enter the Silicone Tea strainer! So here's my Yellow submarine/phosphate remover holder. Just had to share the fun idea she came up with!

Looks cool.

Side note: if the chain holding it is metal, it may corrode.
Stainless but yes I will surley keep an eye on it! I had that same thought as well lol I can use it without the chain if need be.

Fishing line would work. Safer.

Gotta be creative sometimes, I use new nylons with phosguard and put them in the hob filters.
Yea I've heard of that as well. I just like keeping everything pretty especially with a 100% exposed sump/refugium.

Think you will get enough flow thru it? Cool idea though!
Yea it's in the return chamber on my fuge which has 200 gph flowing thru it. It bounces around in there *thumbs up*
