Just wondering if the side of the plate coral that is peeling the closest to the tank glass? Based on my experience one of my plates started retracting tightly on one side and then receded due to the high flow of water hitting the glass. I had to move it a little further from the glass.

Did it grow back over the receding parts?

I wouldn’t exactly say grow over. To be honest it was more of the coral being tightly retracted onto the skeleton than actual bare skeleton. So by just moving it away from the flow coming down from hitting the glass, it began puffing back up. But for yours, you did mention it was showing some skeleton. I think plates are quite resilient so I believe by moving it you should stop the tissue recession. I believe it wont exactly grow back but more like grow on top the dead parts. If it makes it it should grow back to its round shape.

I’d move it away from the Lobo. I’ve had
Lobo’s sting and kill some nice shrooms, which
I believe might be in the same family as plate corals?
Either way, don’t throw away the skeleton if it dies on you, leave It in the tank,
Plate Skeletons sometimes start growing babies on them after they die.

Thanks for information mate
