My Royal Gramma is forever spitting sand on my Fungia. I promptly blow it off gently as possible. Could the color loss be a result from my actions?
All parameters are well balanced and stable.

I'd say too much lighting, they can usually take care of them selves when sand gets on top. I have had more success with low light than anything, they can bleach fairly quickly.

My experience matches what Preston469 said above. It always take of the sand issue itself, but once I moved it out of the direct light, colors came back fairly quickly.

To much white or blue? Running LED's. 12 1/2" from surface on a 40B. Whites at 12% max 6hrs a day ramping. Blues at 50% max 10hrs a day ramping. It's been in this tank for 6 months, losing color within the past week.
I've moved it back under my overflow box.
