Fungia plate coral question

Just wondering how large of a sand bed fungia plates need and if they really do ok in lower light environments as long as feed(around 50 to 70 par) as they are listed looking for somthing for the bottom of a 32 biocube but not sure what to get everything else is soft coral in this tank and I dont know much about fungia coral as iv never kept them also any other recommendations are welcome iv also considered some shrooms but I really like the neon colors of the fungias

in my experience- they do just fine with low light- I had my tucked in the corner in the bottom of tank. You do want to target feed it regularly. And make sure the food isn't robbed by a shrimp or fish because they feed painfully slow. One caveat is they like to wander. Mine would just inch away from where it was and wander around. If you want to prevent that, you can try to "jail" it by outlining a small plot of sand surrounded by rocks.

fungia won't hurt another fungia, they should be fine. my worry is for them to wander too close to other lps and get zapped.

@stevenliu9 nailed it. You can keep in sand or on the bottom. Don’t put on a rock as they can “walk” and will cliff dive off. Also, they are light and flow, fish and inverts can also knock them off.

No other lps or sps in tank only a leather kinda close to the sand everything else is high up so shouldnt be a problem and if the leather could be I'll give it away in order to get these

Keep in mind some of these can grow pretty big. Mine is about 8 or 9 inches across and probably weighs 2 or 3 pounds. It isn’t moving anywhere unless I move it. But mine sits on the bottom of my tank in probably decent PAR. I’ve never measured it, but mine is under metal halide, roughly 22 inches deep, so it is as far away as it can be. And I’ve probably had it more than 15 years. It is definitely one of my older coral.

Holy crap they are lised as a max of 6 inches in diameter but if it's happy I dont really care if they want the entire sand bed hehe (may give me an excuse to go bigger again lol)

They can get massive. The long tentacle ones almost look like anemones and torches.
