I have had this plate coral for about 3 months. It's moved quite a bit around my tank and I've fed it frequently. Lately I noticed a bit of recessed area and its mouth has been getting quite large and staying open (if that makes any sense). I thought it might have tried to eat a snail and was having difficulty with that but when I removed it from the tank there wasn't anything, the mouth had just taken on a dark coloration. This is a pic I just took where hopefully you can see its mouth enlarged, any idea what might be causing this? Is it a problem? Should I not worry? Thanks!

Can you post water chemistry please.

Other than Calcium which I think is low, all seem to be good to me, but here they are just in case:

LOL that would be a yes, you can post chemistry, very cool. I agree the gaping oral opening would concern me as well, but it sounds otherwise healthy. pH is boarder line low, and K+ is high. Are you adding potassium? Are you running GFO or any carbons?

I didn't know I could do that with the Params, I just copy/pasted from my aquaticlog.com. Anyway, I'm not dosing K+ and so don't know why its high. I am doing vodka (carbon?) and assume that's part of the low pH, but my pH has always run low so its not anything that's suddenly changed.

Look at ways to bring it up that are applicable to your tank. One reading is not significant and your should look at the value related to the time of day, try to check the same time of day and look for swings over 24 hours, or photo-period, avoiding swings in pH is more important.
