Don't know what's injured it.. Need help on options. Mixed reef tank.. Sharing some pics. Multiple pics to give a comparison

Fugias are tough little buggers, so it can probably recover.

Is the stuff in the hole detritus build up? How's the flow over the plates? Did you notice any picking from fish/inverts before the hole appeared? Has anything fallen on the plate recently?

The flow is medium strong, not laminar but turbulent. Nothing fell on it. Saw my vlamingi and fox face picking on it to get at the pellets that had fallen over it at feeding time. That last is the only suspect I have currently. Any precautionary method I can deploy? I have the seachem reef dip with me.
 
I haven't used that product, but it looks like iodine based, so it might help. I typically use revive when I see tissue recession. If you see further picking, try making a cage out of egg crate to surround it. This will protect it until it's healed up a bit more.
