I bought a fungia a few days ago, and since I put it into my tank, it will only open in the evening when the lights are turning off or completely off. It was opened up in the LFS, and I tried moving it to a shaded spot to see if too much light was the issue but it made no difference. Anyone know why this is? Thanks

Ok thanks, I'll keep an eye on it

Feed it once a week with 2 or 3 pellets of fishfood.

That's normal (for corals in the wild, at least); most corals retract their polyps/deflate during the day to make it harder for corallivorous fish to nip at them, and then extend their polyps during the night to feed. In captivity, corals (usually) don't need to worry about anything nipping at them so they will inflated more regularly during the daytime. I have also found flesh inflation to depend on lighting and flow; deflated/normal-looking corals at my LFS have inflated in my tank.

P.S. That's a Cycloseris, not a Fungia.
