Is this a fungia? If so does anyone know what type? I got it on a rock for ten dollars so I’m curious of what it is, the pet store wasn’t sure.

It looks like a fungia to me.No guess on the type though. In your second photo, directly above it you seem to have a Majano anemone. You will want to remove that ASAP.

It looks like a fungia but they don’t grow on or encrust onto rocks, so that’s a little confusing.

Yes I believe that is a majano. The rock was infested with aiptasia so I just broke off the chunk with the coral and dried the rock. I did break off the piece with the majano because I think it’s cool but I have it in my breeder box for now and will try to remove it to a vase or something and see how it does. I wouldn’t really mind them in my tank because I already have aiptasia and have heard majano breed slower. And they are really cool looking.
