Fungus in my sump?

Small red plated growth that looks like a fungus of some type on the marine pure in my sump. Kinda reminds me of the mushrooms on trees in a swamp. Healthy or kill it with fire?



Also there's a white caccoon type dealio in the second picture hanging off the glass in the corner of the sump. No idea where this came from. Any idea what it is?
