Hey all!

I'm trying to figure out what this thing is that's poking up behind my new hammer coral.

I cant tell if its algae growing on it, or if they are some type of filaments/stingers/tentacles/feelers from the mystery polyp itself.
It is attached to the skeleton, and sways around in the current. There is only one (so far).

Any help is appreciated!

Hard to tell by the photos but does it look similar to this?

Hard to tell from the pic.
Google Bristle Comb Worm or Coral Barnacle.

Definitely wasnt either of those.

I removed it to get a better picture. Seemed like it was rooted to the skeleton, gave a nice "ripping" sensation when pulled off.
Heres some close ups in and out of the water.

I hope it wasnt anything undiscovered or hard to find! ;Bookworm
