funny numbers for cycle

Let me start by saying I used Turbo Reef. I have been through the tank cycle many times but these numbers are new to me. I'm getting 1.0 Ammonia 0 Nitrites and 20 on my Nitrates. I just find this odd because usually if I have Nitrates the cycle is done but with no Ammonia. Maybe the Turbo Reef?

The nitrates are most likely coming from the rock leaching them......and not from the cycle. For the cycle to be complete....no ammonia....and you spike more and it disappears.

Well that makes sense. My Ammonia was off the charts but has come down to 1 the last two days. I'll let it continue. Never thought of the rocks leaching Nitrates. That's why you ask. Lol thanks for the info.

I ran samples again when I got home and Ammonia is about the same but I do have Nitrites now and Nitrates. Crazy cycle. I did put live rock n 3 days ago. Maybe that’s made things change.
