Furniture sliders under leveling feet

Hey Everyone!

My new tank is coming today! I couldn't be more excited. I have been planning how to set the tank up and would like to get an opinion on furniture sliders from you guys. I am going to need to move the tank out from the wall a few feet to plumb it once its on the stand. I will ultimately need to slide it back into place when the work is done. I am thinking about putting furniture sliders under the leveling feet and leaving them there. Once the tank is full, it will never be slid again. I just think it will be too difficult to lift the tank and stand up after being plumbed to get those out from underneath. Miracles is building the tank and they actually suggested the sliders could be left there. I trust them but want to get a few more opinions on this. I put the link below for what I'm talking about, the tank has six leveling feet and I will buy sliders that most closely match the size of the feet. The tank is 280 gallons so I think the whole thing will weigh somewhere around 3000 lbs full. What I'm worried about is that one of them will eventually crack and the tanks weight will shift. Let me know what you all think!

I have these under a China cabinet and 5 of the 6 are cracked. I would not leave them under my tank long term.

Not what they were meant for and when they degrade it will put your tank at risk.

If you need to get them out after what you're using them for, you can use air shims to temporarily raise your tank enough to slide them out.

Slide it out to plumb it, slide it back in place, stick your shims under it (you'd probably need 3-4 to handle the weight from your tank), slide the sliders out and deflate the shims.

Getting them back out from underneath is exactly what i was wondering about. This is very helpful thanks!

I guess if you had a whole bunch of them under the stand they would work. BUT I have never used them so....

If I was doing this on my tank I would use them to move the stand and then once situated I would shim the stand all around so the load wouldn't be fully on these sliders alone.

I am with most, nothing under unless you are worried about floor protection. If you need to move the tank you could always just get a friend on the other side and pick it up.
