Fusing PVC piping for Fug is it safe?

hey guys so i made a custom Refugium for my reef tank and working on the plumbing for the intake which im doing out of PVC 1/2 inch is it safe to use these two products to fuse the pvc together?
using the purple hercules primer set to fuse them together is this "reef safe "

This is only 1 product. Primer. It pre-softens the pvc. You still need to use pvc cement. As long as the product is dry it is reef safe.

Sorry just to understand what do you mean by fuse together? You have a refiugium and you want to connect it to your main system? You have a link for primer but that is only half the formula - you also need PVC glue.

You can cut a hole in the tank and then use a bulkhead and glue the PVC and connect both the refiugium to your main system.

You will need to use both primer and glue. BRS has a good video on plumbing an aquarium. I would recommend you use larger plumbing like 1” or 3/4” on your aquarium as to not limit flow. I would also mention that depending on where you are located, primer and glue packs can be had for $5-10 at local hardware stores in the US.

There is clear primer you can use. The purple is only for inspectors to see.

Another option would be to clean it with acetone. Works well and doesn’t leave any residue.

cool thanks for the info i have the glue and primer just couldnt find the glue online so if i use a little bit to connect my pvcs it wont cause any issues once it drys. this is a hang on refugium going over a 10gallon nano tank mostly for chaeto to grow in and maybe a place for my protein skimmer
