How long does the Neptune Fusion cloud software keep your monitoring data for? Can you keep it for months or does it start to overwriting it after 1 month, 1 year etc? Also, I saw in a YouTube video that you can also add other data manually such as calcium, nitrate test data. Is that still the case and again, how long does it keep that data for?

Many thanks

Yes you can add data manually, no it doesn’t cost anything and if I remember correctly it will keep data for thirty days.
If you need longer look at Aquatic log. Keeps it longer and can tie into the APEX ( but there is a small subscription for it

Interesting question - I just assumed it was kept forever. Not like it is much.

Does anyone know if they have a API or export to save locally? Or is it saved on the local device unlimited? I'm a data hoarder (really, I am) so this is kind of a big deal.

The data is available in 7 day windows and from what I can tell available for a very long time. It is possible to also export the data from the local web-server via a XML to excel. Chapter 8 in the ACRM- while hasn't been updated for a while, works for both my classic and local interface for direction on how to export the data.

Looks like it is always available, but not exportable. No Fusion API that I know of. Here is an example (I don't test often):

Manually added data (like alkalinity) is kept for one year. Information from probes is 7 days.

I test frequently (I try for everyday, but sometimes it doesnt happen) so here's a screenshot from Fusion. You can see the date range from the Overall line. I have been putting data in here since Sept 2016, but only the information from Feb 2017 - 2018 is viewable.

That is brilliant, I think I am decided, I am going to buy the Apex as I have not seen this functionality in myGHL. I love the idea that there is just one place capturing all my test and monitoring data :-)

Thanks all for the information on data storage and duration. Appreciate it. My Apex has only been on a couple weeks with probes only recently wet. I didn't have most stuff running while the cycle started although it is now ready while I fiddle with the lighting :)

Thank you again. My last Neptune product, the 2000 model controller, was different in what you could pull via the terminal vs. reef notes that was an extra cost. A lot has changed :)
