Fuzz balls.

Anyone know what these are? They are growing in my sand and not to much on rocks a little and frags but mostly in the sand. Tried almost everything to get rid of these from carbon GFO more frequent water changes. Nothing. Going to try an emerald crab as last resort but some many people say they do and don’t eat algae. Any help please thanks.
