Fuzzy colony of something on empty crab shell from LFS

I've noticed these on this empty shell and on the shell of a tronchus snail. Both were acquired from same LFS.

What caught my attention is some frozen mysis got caught up in this colony.

Could be a species of Hydroid? Any other ideas?
