I've had this hammer for about a year and saw these 2 dots on its base today which were never there before. They appear to have some sort of fuzzy texture on them, and they protrude a noticeable amount. They seem to be a whitish color, with a dark brown center from what I can tell. I would estimate the size to be ~3 mm, getting a clear picture was a challenge. Never seen this in my tank before and didn't see anything online that resembled it, so figured I'd drop it here and see if anyone can figure it out. The one picture kinda looks like an asterina starfish, and I saw one in my tank over a year ago (promptly removed it), but haven't seen any since and it's been over a year since I last added a coral to the tank so I'd be really surprised if there were still ones hiding after all this time.

Would be about time, it's been a year and the original head is getting massive
They more often split by forming new mouths from the main head (right now I have six mouths on a single head that are all pulling apart). However, they can also start new heads at their tissue base, I noticed two new tissue projections with some bright green tips from the base of my frogspawn a few weeks back. It’s cool to watch!
