My rocks have been kinda fuzzy for awhile now and it hasn't seemed to get better. I can clean them off with a turkey baster but it just comes back. My overflow also seems to get it bad and I am always trying to clean it off. I do weekly 15% water changes with Rodi water and reef crystals. My rocks don't seem to be growing any coraline algae either and my tank is over two years old. I had a ton around the year mark but it is mostly gone now. It slowly builds up on the glass though. Parameters are all in check 1.025, 79degrees, PH of 8.2, Alk 9, Calcium 420 arena Magnesium 1400. With a Salifert and Hannah checker I never get any phosphates and nitrates are usully 0 and never above 5. So what is this stuff? It uggggly.

Looks like little bits of Algae to me. When I had fuzz from Bacteria it looks more like how a fuzzy mold. Do you dose and if so what?

Hmm googling bryozoan is a bit confusing haha can't find any pictures that really match it. I only dose baking soda to bump up Alk occasionally and I dose magnesium when mixing my salt since this last batch of salt has been mixing at 1200. The only algae I have ever had an issue with is bryopsis and after a month of thinking it was gone from Tech M it is starting to pop back up. Just ordered some Fluconazole to hopefully kill it for good. I do have a bag of carbon, phosgaurd and purigen in between my baffles, may be a bit of overkill I suppose. Actually I guess I have also dealt with some red turf algae but that seems to be dying off and a turbo snail is taking it out.

I've had good luck with vibrant. It took out my bryopsis and has cleaned the sand bed really good.

Yeah I was thinking of trying vibrant as well. Flucs seems to have done a tad bit better job with Bryopsis but I may try vibrant as well to see if it can help with whatever is on my rocks, overflow and the base of most of my corals ha.

Flucs scares me to use. There's really no side effects with using vibrant.
