Hello Reefers,
I am new to the hobby and this is my first post. I have a 60 Gallon cube tank that has been running for 6 months now. I picked up a Trumpet coral from my LFS about a month ago and it has what I assume is algae growing on the base of it. My instincts tell me to pull it all off but I want to make sure it is not something that is supposed to be there. I look up pics of other trumpet corals online and none of them look like they have this growing on them. I wanted someone to reassure me that pulling it off is the correct way to go about it.
