First things first I love this tank. I stole it and the handmade stand for 100 bucks on Craigslist from a super cool older gentleman getting out of the hobby. He Overbuilt the stand himself with added lights underneath that switch on when the door opens. he tells me he painted it with tractor paint in case you were wondering how things were done in Kentucky.
As you can see from the pics I had my work cut out for me in the clean up department.

I ordered I believe 60 lbs of rock from BRS I was extremely happy with. I plotted out my tank's footprint on cardboard and worked out my Aquascape on the table before placing in my tank.

Knowing that a Goby/Shrimp pair would soon be in my future after my Fishless cycle was complete, I made sure my rock rested on the bottom glass securely before adding my live sand. What came next was 3 days of cloudiness. It's a good thing patience is one of my virtues.

One quick Note I cycled this tank running no lights at all. I felt this would decrease any Algae blooms that typically rear their ugly heads during this process. the light in the pic was just turned on briefly to admire my hard work. ;)

Fast forward past a boring cycle. I added a very small clean up crew, few fish and a bitey Coral Banded shrimp that I promptly returned to my LFS. I replaced him eventually with a lil Sexy shrimp I am currently in love with.

These picture I promise will get better as my journey continues. I hope my tank will as well.

Then Lights get hung and a lil firefish gets added. All in all at this point I was pretty pleased.
