Please help. I have never fw dipped before. I read some articles about fw dipping for flatworms. I have a goniopora and a colony of acans on the same rock and dipped for the goniopora being infested. Now my acan colony looks like its melting. 15 second dip. Any chance of recovery?

Tagging along..interested in results.
Sorry I'm no help and best of luck..

Thanks. Clearing up a little bit and looks like they might pull through. Now I know I should've dipped in a iodine solution sw mix and blown the flatworms off. Fingers crossed...

Have they lost flesh, or skeleton showing through flesh? Or did they just get really thin and slimy looking?

Slimy. The green color was just seeping off of them. They spit up their intestines like ****** off mushrooms. Shrinked up a lot.

I would say they SHOULD be fine with just 15 sec dip..probably just really miffed right now lol..pic would probably be helpful if they're still doing poorly in the morning..

Hopefully somebody can chime in whose more experienced with FW dipping than I am.

In lieu of FW or iodine next time I suggest Coral RX...just make sure you don't have any crabs or snails on the rock/frag you want to dip..

Exit will be my last resort. From what I can see now there isnt many. I dont want to kill anything beneficial. Ill siphon them out for now.

Exit will not kill anything beneficial-I've used it an know this for a fact. If you have enough FW to be doing damage to your corals, you have more the you think. Good luck :)
