FW Dip

So I’m transferring a tang from my old tank into my new tank. But the poor guys has some flukes. So I wanna do a FW dip then add him to the new tank. Just don’t know how to acclimate him post FW dip to the new tank. Any advice?

If the old and new tank have the same parameters/salinity and temp, and the FW dip has the same temp, you're good to go.

Also a FW dip won’t cure him of flukes completely- I’d be running him through prazi after.

I just got him out of the tank and put him in a QT running copper safe. Turns out it was Ich.

Ah, okay - any other fish exposed? If so you’ll need to treat them as well

Yeah everyone is in my small 14g QT. I feel bad for them is such a small tank. But I dint want my new one to be infested with parasites.

Do you know if I can add formalin in with the copper safe? Or is it a one or the other type deal?

Id probably do a formalin bath and then into QT with copper. I don’t know about mixing the two in the same tank but I wouldn’t risk it IMO.
