FW Holding Tank

Plumbed in my fresh water holding tank for RO/DI water. One thing I noticed was that the water smells like I just opened a can of the purple primer that I used on the PVC pipe when I glued it together. Is this something I should worry about or won't it hurt anything?

How long ago did you build/glue it?

I had RO/DI water flowing into the tank an hour after I glued the plumbing. No leaks either.

Found that the smell was because I had water in the lines and it sat there for days until I'd draw water from the tank. So now I turn off the valve at the tank (not pictured above) and drain excess water from the lines so they're empty in between uses. The smell is no longer in my water.
