fyi - my status at johnny's reef

some of you may or may not have noticed that johnny's reef no longer has a sponsorship here at r2r. i've gotten some pms regarding this and also continue to get pms/emails from users here asking for quotes on various things.

johnny's reef has no ill will towards r2r and the decision to pull the sponsorship was mine for personal reasons. i've talked to john and have recommended he continue the sponsorship here when he is ready. it was basically just too much for me to handle on my own while i have other things taking higher priority in my life at the moment.

yesterday i gave john my 2-weeks notice. this is the reason i've not responded to some of you asking for quotes. two weeks from now i will be a free agent, as it were, with no affiliation to any store. i will continue doing work for some personal local maintenance clients, but that will be the extent of my work in the hobby until further notice.

thanks for everyone's support during our short stint here as a sponsor. i definitely appreciate all the contacts made and consider you all friends.

to be clear - there isn't a "problem" in my life...just bigger things (good things...) taking higher priority. i have been working part-time for john for over 3 years while also working a "real" job and have recently taken on a new position at my "real" job. this, coupled with a couple of other new opportunities in my life are what have driven me to the decision. it's not a bad thing here - no worries. just wanted to clear it up.

Its all good ben I did that last year and I couldnt be happier... working 4 days a month getting paid the same without all the stress. Im sure its for different reasons but good luck to you anyways
