I am humbled, I have been a strict video guy for almost 15 years. For a long time I was the guy who added the CGI into films and music videos for a paycheck.
When I started getting into still photos as a hobby two years ago, the amount of Photoshop etc used angered me. So I made a pact to only tweak small corrections like exposure or if my WB seems off via the RAW menu.
I like my photos to look as close to they do with your naked eyes as possible without all the added vibrancy etc. I guess what I am saying is, you can do a lot more with proper shutter speed and Fstop...
All these have been taken with a D3300 usually with an 18-300mm lens attached...sometimes my 35mm Prime if it's close enough.

A bit of an older shot, bought some Petco Rock to seed my baserock that "looked" okay...came with some wire algae, it was fun getting rid of it...Not too mad as the rock came with some nice Amiphods, and coraline
