G5 RMS Mounts for the XR15.. very confusing.. Is there any difference

Is there any difference between these two mounts? They are exactly the same price.

XR726

I understand the XR704 mounts on the single-arm, and the XR726 is for the multi-light track bar... But some stores only have the XR704 and some only have the XR726.

Are they the same plastic mount? Can I buy an XR704 and use it on my RMS track? Will it look different (be a different height) than the XR726? Or are they the exact same part in different 'kits'.

Let's add a bit more confusion...

There is also the XR709-15.. only it's $10 at some stores ( vs. $21 ). It looks identical to the XR704

Update.. i figured out where my LFS was wrong.. The XR704 is the mount that converts the XR709-15 to support G5 lights. (putting a checkbox with XR709-15 on the label is where they got confused).

My question still is... is the $10 XR704 the same thing as the $21 XR726?

They are not the same. One comes with mounting hardware and a multi light adapter for $21 and the other does not come with hardware and is a single light adapter (connects to the end of the bar) $10.

I got my hands on a $10 XR704 tonight. It sure looks like the exact plastic mount that comes in the $21 XR726.

Yes, that part is the same.. it is the mounting hardware and attachment that are different. The $10 one has the end mounting piece and no attachment hardware (screws to attach the light to the piece you have in the photo). The $21 has a sliding mounting piece and the hardware to attach the light.

I did... and they did work. They didn't come with mounting screws, but i was able to pick those up from HomeDepot for just a few cents.
