Typically 3-6 weeks.
I went one month for years. I replace after 2 weeks since my dino outbreak last year. I though WWC also went every 2 weeks if my memory is correct.

I monitor the organic material in the water of my fish only system. When it starts to rise, I change the GAC.
The frequency of the change depends on the waste production in your system and the amount of GAC used. GAC can last months or it may need changing in a few weeks. In any case, the GAC column starts to accumulate material and the flow becomes constricted. You can monitor the crud build up and measure the flow to help judge when to change the GAC.
If you aren’t into measuring, change it every 1-2 months. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, buy the cheap carbon and use 2-4 times the recommended amount to match the expensive GAC.
