Quick question- Guy is giving a way some lava rock that has been in his garden/flower bed near his house for however knows how long.

Would it be alright to rinse this rock, cure it, and use it in a tank?

Thanks bunches!

REEF ON!

I wouldn't do it. There's no way to tell what the rock was exposed to and if you will be able to get rid of it. Fertilizers, pesticides etc. I don't think it's a good way to try and save a little money.

Just me trying to cut a corner again. Thanks!
