Is it bad to add a drop or two of garlic in the food every day? I did it for a bit and the fish loved it. I have stopped and they’re still eating will. Just curious if it would be okay or if there were any benefits to it.

I think its one of those reef keeping myths, I don't think garlic does anything to either attract fish or health benefits, I cant recall there being any garlic on a reef or in any part of the sea, Its not a bad thing its just a complete waste of time and money

I've read that with long term use it can use issues with fish livers. Whether that's true or not, I don't use it, so I've never researched it.

I’ve read that Garlic is useful to help entice fish to eat. Also while some fish are undergoing medication treatments like metro and focus adding garlic encourages them to eat.
The second half of the above I can say seems to be true. I am QTing some fish and one in particular wasn’t eating. When I started using a touch of garlic it eats like a pig. The rest are also eating more with the garlic in the food.

That’s what I’ve heard too. Just wasn’t sure.

I've use fish pellets that supposedly had garlic in it. I didn't see any ill effects, but I've since switched to mysis pellets.

I currently only feed frozen, but I’m going on vacation around Thanksgiving and want to use an auto feeder. How did and how long did it take your fish to go for pellets?
