Does your old gate valve have the size on it somewhere? Usually below the knob.
Just Google search. Purchase. Ship.

Most of my local hardware stores sell ball valves and not gates.

They use riser tubes which is why I am looking to buy a gate valve>

I've only found ppl moding the recirculation mod and mesh mod.
You can take a piece of your riser tube to the hardware store? And find out what piece of pvc actually fits? This will give you an idea for the correct gate so you can restrict the output but will result in your skimmer cup just filling up with water imo.
You can raise the actual skimmer up or place it in deeper water? This will be better imo.

The g6 looks like a beast of an old school skimmer. Lol.
I can't tell if it takes 3 pumps or 2
Says 2 but looks.like 3. 3 plug ins? Lol. Ewww.
