Gator Locks ?

Big Im going to pick your brain for a minute. I have a trigger 39 as well and room is tight. I saw the ones on BRS the only thing I like better with the gator locks is there is a locking pin on them. Did you have any problems with them leaking? Are they a snug fit? What I'm planning on doing is off the overflow using the gator lock and connecting it to spa hose / pvc hose and then to the sump. The overflow is a 16" synergy overflow. Attached is a picture of how I plumbed it with unions but if anything would ever happen and I would need to place the union I would have to break down the whole tank to move it fix it and put it back I'm hoping the quick connect fittings might make it easier. Would love to see your plumbing if you don't mind sharing.
