Hi all so Ive had these 2 small occ clowns, that are paired, since my tanks cycled I'm hand feeding them and it's great so I wanted to get them an anemone. bought a nice big gbta it's beautifully colored and massive, but he snuggled up in a cave on the opposite side of my tank of my clowns, they don't venture much and I'm just wondering has anyone had success with getting the clowns to notice it?

tl;dr any tips on having clowns notice my nem?

That is a beautiful bubble anemone. I think they will eventually host for you. I've heard silly things like tape a photo of clowns hosting to your tank for your clowns to see lol. I bought a Picasso pair but the male died a few days later. They did not host my nem. But when I bought a small Picasso he started hosting and the female quickly followed. Good luck

How long has the anemone been in the tank? I bought a RBTA for my two small ocellaris clowns and was worried they would not host. After about 4 days the larger of the two clowns started hosting and would not let the smaller one in. That was about a month ago. The smaller one still hangs out right next to it but gets chased away when he tries to enter. Here is a pic from when the larger one first started hosting.

Beautiful, ive had it for about a week now my clowns definitely are swimming near it as i write this, but they dont get in or nibble the tentacles, can they just dive in or does it take awhile to get used to the nem? first nem sorry for all the questions.

Mine just dove in but did not stay in long initially. I have noticed mine sucking on the tentacles which is kind of weird. A week is not too long so I would just give them some more time.

Right, time is all they need, im not going to try and net them or speed the process i suppose ive heard people lost clowns like that, and the mouth of the nem is the size of my clowns so id rather let them acclimate to eachother slowly. Appreciate the info
