I have had this GBTA for a few months now and it seems to have finally found its happy place. Where it’s located, it now manages to catch a lot more food than it had before so I have not been spot feeding it. My MochaVinci clowns host it but not nearly as aggressively as they had been when I had a Rainbow RBTA. I think they kind of beat that one to death. :(
Anyways, the first couple pics below are how the nem looked last night, all bubbled up. The second set is from today and there is some cloudy, slightly brown/beige goop coming from its mouth. It could just be poop but I’m hoping it’s not expelling zooxanthele. I’m more concerned about the mouth gaping so much. Do I need to be concerned?
@OrionN you’re the expert - any thoughts?

When my rrbta poops, the mouth is never open. What I notice is the mouth will bulge out like an inflated ballon. I nearly killed mine when I turned off the lights for extended period of time. It turned more translucent and brown stringy stuff(Zooxanthela I believe not poop). I started feeding frozen krill until it regained its color and it’s been doing fine. When it does poop, it’s almost like a blop of a slime ball. I’d be concerned with the mouth was that gapped. Keep an eye out and make sure you’re ready to pull it out if it gets worse.

Thank you for the comments!! Now it seems like it’s back to normal-ish? Maybe I worried too soon... as I have a tendency to do with my tanks. :)
