I bought a GBTA about ten days ago and the anemone still has not anchored down. The anemone is going through an inflate/ deflate cycle very drastically, from 5 inches around, looking beautiful, to the size of a quarter, basically looking like its dead (see pics). The flow was turned off for several days to give the anemone time to adjust to the new tank. The anemone ate raw shrimp every time I fed it when it was nice and open.
Parameters:
ammonia- 0 ppm
nitrite- 0 ppm
nitrate- 5 ppm
pH- 8.1
salinity- 0.024
The tank has been running for 5 months. Everything else is doing great and growing... Should I be worried that it has not anchored down? Is my anemone dying or sick? What should I do? Thanks guys!
