So we got home from work yesterday and noticed a not so good site. Our GBTA met our MP40w. Lets say he got pretty messed up. Tore his foot a little, shredded 3/4 of his tentacles. He is still attached to the glass though.

What do you guys think, we he make it?

Had the same issue. All I ever found was one small chunk and never found the rest of the GBTA. Not sure where he ended up as well and the tank's parameters didn't change too much. My GBTA was also around 7" when open.

Mike,

I had to cut a RBTA out of a koralia and there was a lot of damage. I put it in one of those breeder boxes you can get a LFS and it survived. Took a while to look normal again, but it was OK.

I would hold on to yours until it started to look like it was melting away. Get yourself some backup carbon until things start looking better.

Good luck

BTW, the only way I could get it off my powerhead was to cut the anemone in 1/2 and it still survived.

About 2 years ago I had a RBTA that got suck into my closed loop overnight. I woke up to see RBTA parts all over the tank. I started to take out all the part but had a few I couldn't get to. Fast-forward 6 month later I had about 5 tiny RBTA all over the tank. So I think it will be ok.

same thing happened to my RBTA, 8" turned into a 1". hes recovered and flourishing in 3 months.

I had a 9" RBTA tangle with my 6100 Tunze and shredded it to bits. I took down that system about 7 months later and found a baby RBTA down in the basement sump. A lone piece must have made in down through the overflow into the basement and continued on.

It should be fine my rose got a complete buzz cut and the stump roamed around for a month before it settled and grew back.

Sounds like he really likes his flow

Hopefully you end up with a-lot more from this experience, GL man !
