We have two little nems in the tank, one on the left purchased from lfs as green bubble tip, the one on the right was a trade. We were told it was from a green bubble tip that had recently split. Had it for quite a few months now and it hasn’t bubbled. Could we have possibly been misinformed about it being a bta and it is instead a lta or is it just a lazy butt?

No you were not misinformed... nobody knows why or what makes a bubble tip bubble ... mine has never bubbled .. So long as it’s got good color and it’s still attaching with it’s foot then it’s healthy and nothing to worry about ...and an LTA will tend to burry it’s foot in the sand .and they look somewhat different to a BTA

Thanks a bunch. Yes they are happy and healthy, I just wasn’t sure what was up with how different this one was. In another tank we have another gbta and half of that one has huge bubbles and the other half are rather thin. Also have a tiny white bta which has little fat bubbles.
