Hi all.

I have been around the hobby for a few years now.
Just about gone full circle with tanks, started with a 2' cube
and decided i wanted to go bigger, so upgraded to a 4'
then a 6' and then went to an 8'.

After having the 8 footer for a couple of years, my back
gave out and I was finding it too hard to do maintenance and
collect NSW, So when i had to retire due to not being able to
do the hard yards at work because of the back problems I
decided to go back to a smaller and easier to maintain tank.

So today I have a 2.5' x 2' x 18" shallow reef. ATM it doesn't
look like much with just a few LPS a firetail goby and a yellow
coral goby as the first inhabitants.

I signed up on the Marine Aquarium Society of Australia when
I first started with marine and am a current member of
MASQ one of the state associations of MASA.

Well that's about it for the moment, I'm sure we'll be conversing often.

Hi psidriven, Yep MASQ is pretty much Southern Queensland, Cairns comes under MASRQ (Regional Queensland) and it's about 2000 kilometers from me, i'm down on the Gold Coast at a place called Currumbin. There are some beautiful places up Cairns way, but if you do get to Cairns make sure you drop in to Cairns Marine and feast your eyes on some beaut coral eye candy. And dont get jelous of the prices, I'm told that by the time they get to the states they are about a hunderd times more expensive.
