Gearing up for a new build

Hey everyone my name is Brian from long island NY. I am currently getting ready to start my build on a 50 gal SCA cube aquarium! I was in the hobby about 4 years ago. Lots had changed since then I moved out of my parents house got engaged and bought my own place. Now that all the wedding expenses are paid I talked the future wife into letting me get a reef tank ! So pumped I will be making a build thread in the next few months as my tank should be here in a few weeks ( just ordered friday) I look forward to sharing with all of you!

Welcome! Did you order from SCA directly? I bought my SCA 50g cube off amazon and was shocked to have it arrive a couple days later via freight!

Yes I ordered from sca directly. Amazon is great but my tank will be drilled for a 16" reef shadow overflow !

Hey Curry... Queens NYC Here. I am starting a 75 for a friend and I might do a 90 gal for myself. you belong to any clubs out there in long island?

Not yet. I've been growing the long island reef club forum on here. Maybe down the line I will deff get involved !

Yes! The original plan was to fill with water after the wedding but I brought her to the fish store the other day and now she wants fish! I even am teaching her how to use the apex

Very very smart, my wife and I have been married 22yrs. On our 22nd anniversary, she told me she wanted to shop for corals on that day. So we did, and it was awesome.
