I missed you guys!!! I'm running again finally after what felt like forever and after a devastating reef blow on my 75. This time I down graded and plan on simplicity. I live on Cape Cod MA, the ocean is so close I decided I'm going all-natch-oo-ral for the basics, such as the water for water changes, and the sand.
My tank is a Marineland 29-30 gallon w/stand. I have a two or multiple bulb 65 watt t-5 for now, about 40 lbs or less of sand, and approx 30 lbs of rock in the display. I made a awesome DIY overflow and connected it to my Cyclone CPR190 sump and Rio 1400 gph return. The sump I eliminated the skimmer, and packed it full of rock instead and may add sand as I go , I went this direction with the sump because it just fits in the cabinet and no room for the skimmer to be handled, plus the skimmer impeller is shot.
Anyways without further a -do here is my baby!!!!
Really like the aquascape. It'll look awesome once there's some coral filling it up.
