Hello,

Does anyone here using these bulbs? I have 4 bulbs fixture and deciding what bulbs to use for mixed a reef. There's not much videos that I could find to see the variations of their bulbs. Thanks!

I really like the Giesemann "Super Actinic" in the mix.
To myself it's better than the ATI "True Actinic", but that's JMO... :)

The nicest full daylight bulb, that I ever used was the KZ Genii and the ATI Blue +'s are great bulbs too.

I would probably go 2 actinic 1 true actinic and 1 aquablue coral.

I like the Super Actinic and I will add it on “the mix”
Thanks!

They seem to have lost popularity. A couple years ago I worked for an LFS that used all geisemann bulbs. My boss really liked the white look so pretty much everything was half aquablue coral and half actinic blue. I personally prefer the ATI blue plus to the actinic blue but I like the aquablue coral more than the coral plus. I also like the lagoon blue bulbs as a slightly cooler white bulb. The true actinic is better to my eye than the ATI actinic. At the end of the day I know at one point ATI bulbs Geisemann bulbs RedSea bulbs and Aquaticlife bulbs were all made in the same factory. Some people can get really nit picky about the bulbs they use but it is really hard to go wrong with most brands.

I'm running the following 4 Geisemann T5 bulbs on a LED / T5 hybrid fixture: Channel 1: Aquablue Coral and Aquablue Azure, Channel 2: Super Purple and Super Actinic. I personally love the Super Purple. It gives a really nice sunset effect when put in the back of the tank with the actinic in the front.

I am planning on my ch 2, AB Azure and Super actinic, will these be good for a night effect- not too bright? Thanks!

Well, I will say that the aqua blue azure is my brightest bulb. Do you have a dimmable fixture - if so that might work but would be pretty bright otherwise I think. I run the AB Azure and AB Coral only for about the first hour in the morning at a low dimmed setting which gives a nice morning effect IMO. I'd be curious to see what the AB Azure and Super Actinic looks like together. Please post a photo if you go with that combo.

Good to know about the AB azure being bright. My fixture is not dimmable.
I will post a pic.

Thanks again!
